Immaculate Conception Novena ~ Day 1 ~

This novena may be made any time but it is especially good to honor the Mother of God in her Divine privilege by making the Novena between November 29-December 7, the eve of the Feast.
Invocation to be Said Every Day of the Novena:

Thou art all fair, O Mary,
The Original Stain is not in thee.
Thou art the glory of Jerusalem,
Thou, the joy of Israel,
Thou, the great honor of our people
Thou, the advocate of sinners.
O Mary, O Mary,
Virgin most prudent,
Mother most merciful,
Pray for us,
Intercede for us with our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen
( The Raccolta )
Day 1:

O Virgin Immaculate, who wast pleasing in the Lord's sight and didst become His Mother,
look graciously upon the wretched who implore thy mighty patronage.
The wicked serpent, against whom the primal curse was hurled,
continues none the less to wage war
and to lay snares for the unhappy children of Eve.
Ah, do thou, our blessed Mother, our Queen and Advocate,
who from the first instant of thy Immaculate Conception
didst crush the head of our enemy,
receive the prayers that we unite single-heartedly to thine
and conjure thee to offer at the throne of God,
that we may never fall into the snares that are laid for us,
in such wise that we may all come to the haven of salvation;
and in the midst of so many dangers may Holy Church
and the fellowship of Christians everywhere sing once more
the hymn of deliverance, victory and peace. Amen.

To thee, O Holy Virgin Mother Mary, who wast never touched by any spot of Original or actual sin, I commend and entrust the purity of my heart.

Hail Mary. Amen

Preface to the Feast of Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary

It is truly meet and just, right and availing unto salvation, that we should at all times and in all places give thanks unto Thee, O Holy Lord, Father Almighty and everlasting God. That on the Festival of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we should praise, bless and proclaim Thee.
For she conceived Thine only-begotten Son by the over-shadowing of the Holy Ghost; and losing Not the glory of her virginity, gave forth to the world the everlasting Light, Jesus Christ our Lord.
Through whom the Angels praise Thy majesty, the Dominions worship it, and the powers stand in awe.
The Heavens and the heavenly Hosts, and the blessed Seraphim join together in celebrating their joy. With these we pray Thee join our voices also, while we say with lowly praise:
Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of Sabaoth;
heaven and earth are full of thy glory.
Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord
Hosanna in the highest

Novena of the Miraculous Medal

In the name of the Father
and of the Son
and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

Come, O Holy Spirit,
fill the hearts of Your faithful,
and kindle in them the fire of Your love.
Send forth Your Spirit,
and they shall be created.
And You shall renew the face of the earth.
O God, who did instruct the hearts
of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit,
grant us in the same Spirit
to be truly wise
and ever to rejoice in His consolation,
through Jesus Christ Our Lord.
Amen.

O Mary, conceived without sin,
pray for us who have recourse to Thee.

O Mary, conceived without sin,
pray for us who have recourse to Thee.

O Mary, conceived without sin,
pray for us who have recourse to Thee.

O Lord Jesus Christ,
who has vouchsafed to glorify
by numberless miracles the Blessed Virgin Mary,
Immaculate from the first moment of her conception,
grant that all who
devoutly implore her protection on earth,
may eternally enjoy Your presence in Heaven,
who, with the Father and Holy Spirit,
live and reign, God,
for ever and ever.
Amen.

O Lord Jesus Christ,
who for the accomplishment of Your greatest works,
have chosen the weak things of the world,
that no flesh may glory in Your sight;
and who for a better
and more widely diffused belief
in the Immaculate Conception of Your Mother,
have wished that the Miraculous Medal
be manifested to Saint Catherine Labouré,
grant, we beseech You,
that filled with like humility,
we may glorify this mystery by word and work.
Amen.

Memorare
Remember, O most compassionate Virgin Mary,
that never was it known
that anyone who fled to Thy protection,
implored Thy assistance,
or sought Thy intercession was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence,
we fly unto Thee,
O Virgin of Virgins, our Mother;
to Thee we come;
before Thee we kneel sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not our petitions,
but in Thy clemency hear and answer them.
Amen.

Novena Prayer

O Immaculate Virgin Mary,
Mother of Our Lord Jesus and our Mother,
penetrated with the most lively confidence
in Thy all-powerful and never-failing intercession,
manifested so often through the Miraculous Medal,
we Thy loving and trustful children
implore Thee to obtain for us the graces
and favours we ask during this novena,
if they be beneficial to our immortal souls,
and the souls for whom we pray.
(our prayer intention here)
Thou know, O Mary,
how often our souls have been
the sanctuaries of Thy Son who hates iniquity.
Obtain for us then a deep hatred of sin
and that purity of heart which will attach us to God alone
so that our every thought, word and deed
may tend to His greater glory.

Obtain for us also a spirit of prayer and self-denial
that we may recover by penance
what we have lost by sin
and at length attain to that blessed abode
where Thou are the Queen of angels and of men
.
Amen.

An Act of Consecration to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal

O Virgin Mother of God,
Mary Immaculate,
we dedicate and consecrate ourselves to Thee
under the title of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal.
May this Medal be for each one of us
a sure sign of Thy affection for us
and a constant reminder of our duties toward Thee.
Ever while wearing it,
may be blessed by Thy loving protection
and preserved in the grace of Thy Son our Lord Jesus Christ .
O most powerful Virgin,
Mother of our Saviour,
keep us close to Thee every moment of our lives.
Obtain for us, Thy children,
the grace of a happy death;
so that, in union with Thee,
we may enjoy the bliss of Heaven forever.
Amen.

O Mary, conceived without sin,
pray for us who have recourse to Thee.

O Mary, conceived without sin,
pray for us who have recourse to Thee.

O Mary, conceived without sin,
pray for us who have recourse to Thee.

In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost , Amen

Eternal Father, I offer You the most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus Christ , in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the Universal Church, for those in my own home and in my family. Amen

WEAR THE GARMENT OF GRACE ~~ BROWN SCAPULAR ~~

O Mary, Queen and Mother of Carmel, I come today to consecrate myself to thee, for my whole life is but a small return for the many graces and blessings that have come from God to me through thy immaculate hands.

Since thou look with special kindness on those who wear thy Scapular, I implore thee to strengthen my weakness with thy power, to enlighten the darkness of my mind with thy wisdom, and to increase in me Faith, Hope and Charity that I may repay each day my debt of humble homage to thee.

May thy Holy Scapular bring me thy special protection in my daily struggle to be faithful to thy Divine Son and to thee. May it separate me from all that is sinful in life and remind me constantly of my duty to imitate thy virtues.

From now on, I shall strive to live in God's Presence, and offer all to Jesus through thee. Dearest Holy Mother, support me by thy never-failing love and lead me to paradise through the merits of Christ and thy own intercession. Amen.
