Novena in Honor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help - Day 5 -

Traditional Novena Prayer

O Mother of Perpetual Help, grant that I may ever invoke Thy most powerful name,
which is the safeguard of the living and the salvation of the dying.
O Purest Mary, O Sweetest Mary, let Thy Name henceforth be ever on my lips.
Delay not, O Blessed Lady, to help me whenever I call on Thee, for, in all my temptations, in all my needs,
I shall never cease to call on Thee, ever repeating Thy Sacred Name, Mary, Mary.
O what consolation, what sweetness, what confidence, what emotion fill my soul when I utter Thy sacred name, or even only think of Thee.
I thank God for having given Thee, for my good, so sweet, so powerful, so lovely a name.
But I will not be content with merely uttering Thy name; let my hope for Thee prompt me ever to hail Thee,Mother of Perpetual Help. Amen

( 3 Hail Mary )

Concluding prayer

Mother of Perpetual Help, with the greatest confidence
we come before your holy picture to be inspired
by the example of your life.

We think of you at that moment when, full of faith and trust,
you accepted God's call to be the Mother of His Son.
Help us, your children, to accept with joy our own calling in life.

When you learned that your cousin Elizabeth was in need,
you immediately went to serve her and offer your help.
Help us, like you, to be concerned for others.

We think of you, Mother, at the foot of the Cross.
Your heart must have bled to see your Son in agony.
But your joy was great when He rose from the dead,
victorious over the powers of evil.

Mother of Sorrows, help us through the trials and disappointments
of life. Help us not to lose heart.
May we share with you and your Son the joy of having faced
up to all the challenges of life.Amen

Novena in Honor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help ( June 27 )

Today is starting the Novena in Honor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help ( June 18 ending June 26 ) the vigil of the Feast of Our Lady of Perpetual Help.

Among Christians , the title Perpetual Help is one of the better known titles of the Mother of God, especially among the most needy and afflicted who feel the need for love and protection.
The original picture is an Eastern Icon that represents the Virgin of the Passion, painted to inspire hope and prayer. Its spiritual message far surpasses its artistic beauty. An icon is much more than the representation of a person or a historical event. The Icon of Perpetual Help raises our consciousness of the mysteries of the Redemption in Christ and of the intercession of Mary in favor of those who follow Christ, here in the arms of His Holy Mother.

Only with an attitude of faith and prayer can one admire this icon. The expression on Holy Mary's face is that of a mother who knows pain, and yet, extends her help with serenity and tenderness, as she invites us to obey the Will of God, even when we find it in suffering and the cross, and to offer our lives in service to Him and our neighbor as He did unto death.

Even the Third Secret of Fatima is still unrevealed and still ignored ..

.. we can still fight against Last Times Apostasy , we can fight through Mary under victorious title of Our Lady of Fatima

The Last Times Remedies, given by Our Lady at Fatima and spoken by Sister Lucia ar two-fold:

1. The Rosary Devotion
2. The Five First Saturday Reparatory Devotion and Consecration of Russia.
The Rosary Devotion consists of the praying the Rosary daily, as well as offering up our daily sacrifices and duties in reparation or apology to God for the sins committed. We must remember to first apologize to God for sins, and then all things will be given afterwards. So this first step, the Rosary devotion, repairs for sins and helps to save souls from going to Hell.

Our Lady said :“Pray, pray very much, and make sacrifices for sinners, for many souls go to Hell because there is no one to pray and make sacrifices for them.”

This is a Daily Consecration formula that can be used:

"Dear Queen and Mother, who promised at Fatima to convert Russia and bring peace to all mankind, in reparation to Thy Immaculate Heart for my sins and the sins of the whole world, I solemnly promise:

"To offer up every day the sufferings and sacrifices demanded by my daily duty; (through the Morning Offering prayer);

"To pray the rosary daily while meditating on the Mysteries;

"To wear the Brown Scapular of Mount Carmel as a profession of this promise and as an act of consecration of myself to Thee, and to renew this promise often, especially in moments of temptation."

The second remedy

The second remedy is The Five First Saturday Reparatory Devotions, which was requested by Our Lord to repair the damage of the five offenses and blasphemies committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Act of Consecration and Reparation to Mary's Immaculate Heart

O Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of heaven and earth and most tender Mother of men, in accordance with Thy ardent wish made known at Fatima, I consecrate to Thee myself, my family, my brethren, my country, and the whole human race.

Reign over us and teach us how to make the Heart of Jesus reign and triumph in us an around us, as it has reigned and triumphed in Thee.

We desire to atone for the many grievous sins and offenses committed against Jesus and Thee. We desire to call down upon our country and the whole world, the peace of God in justice and charity.

We promise to imitate Thy virtues by the practice of a Christian life without regard to human respect. We resolve to receive Holy Communion on the First Saturday of each month, and to offer Thee five decades of the Rosary each day, together with our sacrifices, in the spirit of reparation and penance. Amen.

Jun 07 - Homily - Fr Dominic: Climbing the Mountain of God

Fr. Dominic preaches on the need, with the help of the Blessed Virgin Mary, to be always climbing the mountain of God. Ave Maria!

Eternal Father, I offer You the most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus Christ , in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the Universal Church, for those in my own home and in my family. Amen

WEAR THE GARMENT OF GRACE ~~ BROWN SCAPULAR ~~

O Mary, Queen and Mother of Carmel, I come today to consecrate myself to thee, for my whole life is but a small return for the many graces and blessings that have come from God to me through thy immaculate hands.

Since thou look with special kindness on those who wear thy Scapular, I implore thee to strengthen my weakness with thy power, to enlighten the darkness of my mind with thy wisdom, and to increase in me Faith, Hope and Charity that I may repay each day my debt of humble homage to thee.

May thy Holy Scapular bring me thy special protection in my daily struggle to be faithful to thy Divine Son and to thee. May it separate me from all that is sinful in life and remind me constantly of my duty to imitate thy virtues.

From now on, I shall strive to live in God's Presence, and offer all to Jesus through thee. Dearest Holy Mother, support me by thy never-failing love and lead me to paradise through the merits of Christ and thy own intercession. Amen.
